Moving stock is one of those stressful jobs farmers have to deal with, but a two-day course may make that a thing of the past. Picture the best day's stock work you've had, where everything works smoothly and no one gets stressed. Some will argue thatthis is impossible, but low-stress stockhandling trainer Nic Kentish begs to differ. "For many livestock operations, a day in the stockyards is unpleasant at best, bringing out the worst in people, and, I have to confess, particularly in men," Kentish said. "But herding animals have specific instincts that can be used to make yard work easy and less stressful on both the animals and the humans involved," he said.
