New slant on aphid spray resistance

CSIRO research findings relating to insecticide resistance in green peach aphids will help farmers more effectively manage this pest. Farmers can more effectively manage the widely prevalent green peach aphid, following CSIRO research findings about the source of insecticide resistance in this pest. Insecticide resistance is common in green peach aphids in grain crops but it might not be the insecticides used by grain growers that are causing the problem. The green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) is a pest of many crops but is particularly fond of crucifer vegetables and oilseeds.
