Update on ISO 10018 - future standard on 'people aspects' of quality

At its November 2006 plenary meeting in Busan, South Korea, ISO technical committee ISO/TC 176, subcommittee SC 3, Supporting technologies, accepted a proposal to launch a new work item on a standard that addresses the "people aspects" of quality management systems, structured on the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. The result is the ongoing development by working group WG 15 of ISO 10018, Quality management - Guidelines on people involvement and competence. The future standard is at the very early stage of a first working draft. It is targeted for completion in 2011.
