System approach to management

Identifying, understanding and managing interrelated processes as a system contributes to the organization's effectiveness and efficiency in achieving its objectives. Having processes is one thing-they also need to be managed. The organization should look at the interdependences of the processes and how these can be integrated into one system. For the processes to work effectively, however, the organization should be asking itself the following questions: Who is responsible for the process-or-who owns the process?
