Accurately calculating enterprise costs gives producers the information they need to plan effectively for good as well as challenging years. Producers can use enterprise cost of production to estimate the effect of most management decisions on the bottom line. When producers calculate the cost of production for each farm enterprise, they can use that information to plan for drought and to benefit in the better seasons.
