THE Obama Administration's budget for the Bureau of Land Management contains 42.5 million dollar of land acquisition funding for the establishment of another wild horse preserve. More troubling is that an Administration memo has surfaced that revealsplans for the federal government to use those dollars to seize more than 10 million acres stretching from Montana to New Mexico. This will result in halting job-creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Adding insult toinjury is the fact that this land grab will dry up tax revenues that are essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.
