Along the road with ISO/TC 176

摘要

I arrived as Chair of ISO/TC 176 essentially through the back door. Although I had been involved with quality from a company perspective (Eastman Kodak Company) for most of my professional career, my entry to international standardization came through ISO/TC 207, Environmental management, which is the ISO technical committee responsible for the ISO 14000 family. I was recruited to the Canadian mirror committee on Environmental Management Systems on account of the need to align standards for quality and for the environment (committee members were selected from both fields).
