Assurance secures 'right to farm'

The grains industry is taking steps to develop an environmental assurance system to retain markets and the 'right to farm'. Environmental assurance does not set standards or impose legal obligations but attempts to head off future imposts. The GrainsResearch and Development Corporation (GRDC) has supported several projects to help farmers use profitable and environmentally sustainable methods.
