New to Cereals this year is a Soil and Water Trail, offering tips and advice on a host of practical management improvements. Are you looking for tips on how to increase the organic content of your soil? Or do you want to optimise tyre set ups to maximise work rates and minimise soil risks? If you'd like answers to these or a host of other soil management questions, you should follow the Soil and Water Trail. The Trail is co-ordinated by BASIS and run on the stands of five of the other partners in theFarmers Weekly-supported national initiative to establish a Soil and Water Management Centre at Harper Adams University College. As well as providing a focus for event visitors keen for guidance on making the most of their soils, it offers agronomists and growers the opportunity to earn four BASIS CPD points by answering a series of Trail questions.
