UK Set to Receive First US LNG Cargo

The UK is due to receive its first significant liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment from the US at the Isle of Grain terminal in southeast England this weekend, according to shipping sources. The 160,000-cubic-meter Maran Gas Mystras vessel has left Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG export terminal on the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana and is expected to arrive on Jul. 8 in the UK.
