Method for the development of messages:A process for developing comprehensive,interoperable and certifiable data exchange among independent systems

In a world of increasing complexity and need to share data,information and knowledge is overwhelming.In today's global community,much of that interchange is done electronically,and most frequently between computers.Comprehensible communications among computers require both syntactical and semantic interoperability to be useful.The importance of communication demands the process to be as complete and error-free as possible.Therefore,a well-defined process for the creation of the messages used in communication is mandatory.ISO TC 215,Health Informatics,was created in 1998 and currently functions with five working groups.Working Group 2,Messaging and communications,accepted as a work item the development of a method for development of messages.
