There were two particular reasons for visiting BOCM PAULS' Preston mill. Firstly, of course, as National Sales and Marketing Director Nick Major pointed out, BOCM PAULS is, by some distance, the UK's largest compounder. With sales of compounds of around 2 million tonnes per annum, over 900 employees, 11 mills and a turnover of approximately pound 400 million, it can legitimately claim to be the only remaining 'national', able to supply compounds for all major livestock species across the length and breadth of mainland Britain, from Aberdeenshire down to Cornwall and from West Wales across to East Anglia.
