Unlike other equipment dealers, studies show that farm equipment dealerships aren't taking full advantage of their best aftermarket prospects. It's always good to know where your dealership stands in relation to others in the industry. That's what tools like Cost Of Doing Business studies are designed to do. When comparing CODE studies in various equipment industries, it's important to recognize that, while these provide helpful data that dealers should use, they are as likely to contain as many variances as they do similarities to your own business. You should also recognize that results represent either averages or medians, and, at best, what you are looking at is a snapshot of the best of the worst or the worst of the best.
