Here is a description of some of the equipment the researchers use for developing methods for detecting animal drug residues. Chromatography is a process by which a complex mixture is separated into its component compounds. Two principal types of chromatography are used at the Office of Research, Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC).
