GLOBAL CEMENT: THE VIEW FROM BRUSSELS

Cement is mainly used for the production of concrete, which can be recycled into secondary aggregates for further concrete production. This requires additional cement. Here the Secretary General of the European Federation of Precast Concrete (BIBM) Alessio Rimoldi explains the issues surrounding the recycling of cement and concrete in this way. BIBM is a partner of The Concrete Initiative, which is a project led by Cembureau, BIBM and the European Ready-Mixed Concrete Organisation (ERMCO).
