Lafarge CEO: Confident to meet 2008 cost cut targets

French cement company Lafarge S.A.'s Chief Executive Bruno Lafont told the company's shareholders' annual meeting in Paris that he was confident the company would achieve the cost cut targets set for 2008. The chief executive also said that Lafarge was interested in acquisitions in the cement, gypsum and aggregate markets.
