Ash Grove's Chanute plant upgrade opened in 2001, but ductwork in its VRM was showing advanced signs of wear within six months. Although patches provided a temporary solution, longer-term reliability could only be attained through the use of more specialised wear-resistant materials, successfully supplied and installed by Wear-Concepts, Inc.
