Since early 2007, Glacial Plains Cooperative, Murdock, MN, has been using the Agvance~R grain accounting software program from Software Solutions Integrated, LLC (SSI), Shelbyville, IL, because its overall capabilities helped to improve operational efficiencies and offered a more robust interface with its producer-members. With its headquarters in Murdock, Glacial Plains Cooperative was formed in 2001 as a merger of two companies, United Farmers Elevator, Murdock, and Swift Coop Oil, Benson, and nowserves 1,500 members from 10 locations in 10 counties who are involved in grain, dairy, swine, and beef operations. To serve this base of membership, the cooperative also produces 30,000 tons of feed yearly.
