Mucosal bridges of the glottis have been reported in 30% of cases of sulcus vocalis. On histopathology, they consist of a central axis of connective tissue covered circumferentially by stratified squamous epithelium. Only a few cases of mucosal bridges have been reported in the literature. The reason is likely attributable to the difficulty of diagnosis without direct microlaryngoscopy under general anesthesia.
