All the modes of action being used today are off patent. That means they are largely manufactured in low-cost manufacturing centers in China, India and a few other hubs in Southeast Asia.The concentration of manufacturing in these few markets makes supply vulnerable to disruption. As the industry endures fallout from China's supply shifts because of environmental regulations, buyers are forced to solidify their supply chain and consider alternatives to be less dependent on individual markets.
