Industry gathers pace during 'slow' summer season

Summertime is usually regarded as the silly season in the publishing industry, a time when the weather is hot, people are on holiday and the pace of life generally slows down for a few months. Consequently, certainly in the mainstream press at least, it is usually the time when 'Cat stuck up Tree!' stories begin making the news. But for some reason this year the glass industry has not played ball. Since our last publication a month ago there has been a plethora of news, some of which will have a major impact on the industry and the people working within it.
