Lovati Concept Series

The Lovati numerical control Concept machines are designed to grind and polish the edge on shaped glasses with internal curves, external curves, straightline sides as well as mitered corners. The Concept has an 8-Kw electric spindle and 8-or 10-position tool crib with automatic selection for tool withdrawal and deposit. Its spindle has an inside water jet. It is able to work any shape and profile by means of linear and circular interpolation on its X, Y, Z axes. In addition to the grinding and polishing of the edge, the machine can also execute holes, pin and screw inserts, and internal and external millings and routings. The desired profile is attained by using the CAD/CAM automatic design station. Up to three wheels (two diamond and one polishing) can be stacked on the spindle in order to grind and polish the glass edge without any change of tool holder
