Wausau Window and Wall Systems has engineered custom curtain walls for New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This year's 32 million travelers will soon find a seven story glass elevator attached to the airport's east parking garage. This all glass enclosure encompasses 16,000-sq. ft., as designed by the architects at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and installed by New York Curtainwall.Wausau s latest project for JFK is to engineer and fabricate curtain wall systems for the airport's 10 AirTrain light-rail-system stations. Visitors to JFK will have the option of taking the AirTrain to/from midtown Manhattan to Queens, where the airport is located. An estimated 34,000 riders are expected to travel using this method once the AirTrain is opened in 2002.
