A new, very high performance horizontal flat glass washing and drying machine, part of a range designed and built in-house, is available from Ashton Industrial. The AIS-HWPRO-10 machine, designed for cleaning glass after edge working and prior to tempering, is very possibly the fastest and most compact horizontal washing and drying machine ever built. Only 1,600 mm in length, it contains a pre-spray zone and two wash sets- each with a pair of cylindrical driven brushes, a pre-drying zone, and a final drying zone. The machine achieves washing and drying speeds up to 15 meters per minute with perfect results. The design is based around the world-famous Bielefelder Union 2070N model, of which many hundreds are installed world-wide, often running triple-shift for 15-20 years, with Ashton Industrial innovations.
