W. Lee Evey Set to Deliver Keynote Address at CSI Show

The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) announced that W. Lee Evey, Pentagon Renovation Program manager, will deliver the keynote address at the organization's upcoming CSI Show. The Show will take place June 27-30 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and Evey will speak during the opening general session that begins at 8:30 a.m. on June 27. Evey will discuss progress on the Pentagon's Phoenix Project, which involves the structural demolition, reconstruction and reoccupation of nearly 400,000 square feet of the building's interior space and repairing 100 yards of its historic facade. Re will also reveal how the renovation program was able to award nearly 1.5 billion dollars in contracts within four days of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. As of April 2002, the Phoenix Project was nearly six weeks ahead of schedule toward the goal of reoccupying the outer ring of Pentagon offices by the one year anniversary of the attack.
