WE are sorry to report the death of Barrie Skelcher, resulting from Motor Neurone Disease. A longstanding member of the Glass Association, he contributed articles to both The Glass Cone and the Journal of the GA. Supported by his wife Shirley, Barrie amassed one of the largest collections of uranium glass, some of which was displayed for a number of years at the Sellafield Visitor Centre. It was actually Shirley who began the collection of uranium glass with Barrie.
