The Queen's 'Longest Reign' Paperweight

REGULAR readers of this column will know that I have a particular interest in commemorative glassware, especially in paperweights, but we all know that commemorative items in general and royalty-related items in particular do not attract the interest these days that they have in the past. When the media started showing interest in the fact that on 9 September 2015, Her Majesty the Queen would become the longest-reigning monarch by passing the 63 years and 216 days reign of Queen Victoria, I started wondering as to what, if anything, would be produced to mark the event.
