Rhodotorula mucilaginosa infection in Li-Fraumeni-like syndrome: a new pathogen in folliculitis.

Madam, Rhodotoruk mucikginosa is a ubiquitous, environmental, urease-positive yeast. It can cause disease with a wide range of clinical manifestations especially in immunocompromised patients. However, this is the first case of folliculitis induced by R. mucilaginosa, probably facilitated by immunosuppression with temozolomide in Li-Fraumeni-like syndrome (LFS).A 20-year-old white woman presented in the dermatology unit with a 3-week history of skin lesions involving the decollete, upper back, axillary and submammary area. A glioblas-toma multiforme on the right pons, medulla oblongata and cervical spinal cord C1 had been diagnosed 3 months prior to the skin changes.
