Pollutants in soil and water can affect cattle through feed. Dr P T Sreenivas writes. Intensive agricultural production requires use of a large number of synthetic chemicals and fertilisers. But due to improper or excessive application, or their persistence in soil and plants, many of these have become environmental contaminants.
