Ecuador is set to restart two oil pipelines that were shut earlier in the month due to soil erosion along the Piedra Fina River. Operations at the 450,000 b/d privately owned Heavy Crude Pipeline (OCP) will resume on Dec. 31, OCP Ecuador said in a statement. Exports of Napo crude are expected to recommence on Jan. 3. State oil Orm Petroecuador earlier said it expected to complete work on a seventh bypass for its 360,000 b/d Trans-Ecuadorian Pipeline System (SOTE) by Dec. 29 and restart operations on Dec. 30.
