When I first thought about building conservatories in Russia my main concerns were about how such transparent and light structures could survive the famous, if not, notorious, Russian winters. There were two major points to consider - the freezing conditions that can reach as low as -35°C for long periods and secondly, heavy snow that never melts in winter.
