Status of aflatoxin in different biological fluids of buffaloes

Aflatoxin level in different biological fluids (blood serum, urine and milk samples) of buffalo was investigated. The per cent contamination of aflatoxin B_1 (AFB_1) in blood sera, urine and milk samples was found to be 13.20, 11.11 and 23.07 respectively. The concentration of AFB_1 varied from 32 to 80 #mu#g/L (Litre). The correlation of AFB_1 level with different clinical conditions i.e. anorexia and gastroenteritis is discussed.
