Growers and retailers got a chance to see almost 600 varieties of geraniums, impatiens, osteospermum and spring baskets at the 10th annual spring trials open house at Westcan Greenhouses in Langley, B.C. Several hundred visitors were treated to a cornucopia of colour as they pored over the latest annuals from Ball FloraPlant, Dummen, Fischer USA, Goldsmith, Greenex, JVK/Natural Selections, Oglevee, Paul Ecke Ranch, Selecta First Class, and Syngenta. Although the number of geraniums (288 this year) has remained steady in recent years, the quality continues to improve.
