Label expansion gives ornamental growers new tool in thrips defence

The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently announced the approval of a minor use label expansion for Success 480 SC insecticide for control of western flower thrips on ornamentals grown in the greenhouse in Canada. The product was already labelled in Canada for management of a number of insect pests on a range of minor and specialty crops including turf and outdoor ornamentals. This minor use was originally submitted to PMRA in 2001 through the combined efforts of Flowers Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).
