Fernlea Flowers is expanding, again. Just about two years after five acres of greenhouse were added to the property, another six acres will be added to the operation. This will bring the total acreage under plastic to 35. Fernlea's Highway 3 site in Courtland, Ontario was already the largest single greenhouse location in Canada and the entire company is one of the top 10 greenhouse operations continent-wide. The expansion will include another 10 employees in addition to the 135 that are already employed at the Courtland site. The expansion is expected to be completed at the end of July.
