New technology helps growers produce better yields

Messenger-treated pepper plants have more blooms, less disease. California Growers and PCAs gathered in Oxnard recently to scrutinize a field of Baron Bell peppers that had been treated with Messenger~(R), a pared to plants treated with the grower standard alone. Blooms and flower buds on plants pulled randomly from each side of the demonstration field 35.5 percent more potential fruit than non-Messenger-treated plants.
