Growers lead screen workshop

Have you ever wondered just how many of your pest problems come flying in through the open vents? Have you ever wondered what it would do to your pest problems if that influx of pests could be eliminated? Forty growers recently had the opportunity to find out when they attended a screening information day hosted by Jeffery's Greenhouses in St. Catharines, Ontario. Usually at these types of meetings, information is presented by researchers, extension specialists or companies trying to convince growers of the benefits of whatever is being discussed. However, this was information from a different source; presentations were made by a number of Niagara area growers who discussed their experiences with screening.
