Movement of pests into the greenhouse can cause a major headache for growers. In the spring, the major concern is aphids, which often begin flying during the first warm weather and can enter greenhouses in large numbers. During the summer, warm weather encourages the development of large outdoor populations of many different kinds of insects, and, with the vents wide open and strong winds transp'orting small insects great distances, many strange and wondrous insects (including many pests) are found on sticky cards inside the greenhouse. And then there is the autumn.
