New rules for plant exports

In 1995, the Plant Protection Division of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) formalized the ongoing Greenhouse Bench (Survey) Inspection Program for the Export Certification of Greenhouse Plants to the U.S. by means of a D-Memo (D-96-06) and a signed agreement. The agreement covers those greenhouse plants eligible for export as defined in that directive and stipulates that such eligible plants for export must originate from facilities inspected and approved in the program as outlined in the D-Memo.
