The Current State of IPM in Ontario

In the summer of 1994, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), conducted a survey of greenhouse flower growers in Ontario to determine the extent of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) use in the industry. Surveys were sentto 151 greenhouse operations with a combined total area of almost 1,500,000 m~2. 133 surveys were returned representing a total area of 1,342,176 m~2 or 65% of the greenhouse flower growing area according to Statistics Canada (1991).
