Use of weigh platforms for effective water management

An ever-increasing number of growers around the world are discovering that a crop-weighing platform can help them optimize their decision-making process when it comes to irrigation management. The benefits of using such equipment are discussed here. Aweigh platform is a flat, stainless steel tray, either one or two metres in length and supported by highly sensitive weighing modules. One or two substrate modules (rockwool slabs coco fibre slabs or potted crops) can be placed onto the device depending on the length of the platform. This device is connected to the environmental control computer so that substrate water content data can be received and presented in a graphical manner.
