From energy conversion to new variety trialing, MacArthur's of the Maritimes knows the importance of looking ahead. For many consumers, autumn in the Maritimes means beautiful mums from MacArthur's Nurseries in Moncton, New Brunswick. "Four or five years ago we started producing our own fall mums," says owner and president Stephen Lebans during our interview last fall, "We weren't happy with the quality that we were able to secure in the local area. This year we're growing 15,000 fall mums, and I wish we could grow twice as many, but it's maxed out our production space at that time of the year."
