Long-term weathering of vinyl Windows is a well-researched and well-publicised topic.All publications prove the excellent suitability of vinyl for this demanding appllcation.In recent years though,new types of surface-damaging weathering effeets have been diagnosed on window profiles (i.e.formation of "yellow spots"), which cannot be explained in total from currently available insights into vinyl weathering.This paper looks into the ehanges in vinyl profile proeessing as well as environmental factors of the last 15 years as a first step to attempt an explana- tion of these new phenomena."Those were the days of our lives.The bad things in life were so few.Those days are all gone..."[1].
