Umwelteinflusse auf die Bewitterung von Kunststofffenstern (4)-Untersuchungen an europaischen Fensterprofilen

In the first years of the new century an apparently unusual and unknown weathering phenomenon on plastic windows profiles was observed in parts of Europe with moderate climate. The phenomenon is better known by the concept "Yellow spotting". This effect is caused in many cases by environmental pollutions. In several investigations it was found, that these environmental factors are independent of the type of stabiliser system. The GKV organised a Round Robin test with profiles from different European converters either based on Calcium-Zinc or Lead. These profiles samples were investigated by the participants of this Round Robin Test. As one of these enterprises in this field we are presenting our complete investigations findings.
