USITC makes affirmative ruling in Russian AN case,says lifting agreement would likely harm U.S.industry

In the final step of a five-year sunset review process that was initiated nearly one year ago,the U.S.International Trade Commission(ITC)on March 14 determined that terminating the suspended investigation on ammonium nitrate from Russia would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the domestic AN industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.The unanimous ITC vote followed the Feb.27 ruling by the U.S.Department of Commerce International Trade Administration that lifting the suspension agreement would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of Russian AN entering the U.S.at prices more than 250 percent below fair market value.
