Washington-The Fertilizer Institute cheered the passing of CAFTA in the U.S.House of Representative July 28,saying the agreement offers the American fertilizer industry important new export opportunities as it eliminates all tariffs on current fertilizer exports to Costa Rica,El Salvador,Guatemala,Honduras,Nicaragua,and the Dominican Republic.The 217-215 House vote was a nail-biter.
