Iowa area getting two large fertilizer centers

Alton,Iowa-Northwest Iowa will soon have two new large-scale dry fertilizer facilities,each with the capability to receive and store 100-car unit train quantities.Like the Hartley project announced late last year (GM Nov.8),the 39,000-ton dry fertilizer storage warehouse 25 miles away at Alton is apartner-ship,located at an existing rail loading and unloading site to save on facility costs.
