Compass Minerals eyes sale of U.K.salt asset

Overland Park,Kan.-Compass Minerals International Inc.'s British subsidiary,Salt Union Ltd.,has entered into discussions to sell its evaporated salt plant in Cheshire,England,to chemicals and technology manufacturer INEOS Enterprises.The sale would involve the purchase by INEOS of Salt Union's general trade,evaporated salt plant at Weston Point,Cheshire.
