Intrepid Potash Inc. on Oct. 13 reported preliminary sales and production results for the third quarter. Intrepid estimates that it produced between 165,000 and 175,000 tons and sold between 185,000 and 195,000 tons of potash during the quarter. In addition, it estimates that it produced approximately 30,000-35,000 tons and sold approximately 50,000-55,000 tons of Trio* during the quarter.Intrepid said its production results for the quarter were consistent with expectations, noting that a scheduled shutdown for annual maintenance work was completed at the East mine and plant near Carlsbad, N.M.
