Monsanto to invest $10 M more in mine

Monsanto plans to invest an additional $10 million in a controversial proposed phosphate mine in Southeast Idaho. The proposed Blackf oot Bridge Mine in the Caribou/Targhee National Forest has generated about 7,000 public comments, which the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will review to determine if a mining plan released earlier this year warrants changes to address environmental concerns. The BLM determined this past August that the Blackfoot Bridge Mine plan would be sufficient.
